Super Maramu: a cruising sailboat par excellence
Launched by the Amel Company in 1998, the 15.97 meter seagoing ketch is unsinkable. Designed for long distance offshore cruising, the boat offers many desirable features, like the enclosed cockpit, seacocks above the waterline, and the automation of certain maneuvers.
Outside, there is a large teak deck and an enclosed central cockpit. With its 2 masts, the boat has been well-designed and all the maneuvers are performed in the center area. The portside helm station includes a table and two large bench seats. The water can be accessed from the starboard side, by means of 2 steps.
Once you enter inside, there is a very large saloon. The U-shaped kitchen is spacious and includes a freezer and a standard oven. There is a great deal of stowage space available. The interior features woodwork throughout and many sources of natural light which give a very comfortable feel to the ambiance. The two cabins, each with a private bathroom, are spacious and well-designed.
The Super Maramu can accommodate up to 6 people. It is a true offshore vessel that is extremely stable, high-performing and comfortable.
