Description
Sea Bird Yawl on sale. Classic wooden boat with solid construction, caravel planked. This boat was featured on Voiles et Voiliers in September 2011. It is a loyal replica of the original Sea Bird Yawl which became famous when she crossed the Atlantic in 1911 with a crew of 3. Rare opportunity to feel the sea and wind in a unique way.
All the materials employed in the construction and maintenance are the right ones and the boat is kept in good condition. Ready to sail with recent main and mizzen sails (less than 100 hours). The hull is pitch pine and Iroko planks on oak frames. The deck is marine plywood seathed with epoxy and roving fiber glass tissue, meaning that it is hard, durable and dry inside. Spars are hemlock wood.
