History & Construction
Built in 1986 by Marine Projects Ltd to a Bill Dixon design the Moody 346 has a white GRP hull and superstructure with non-slip deck surfaces. She benefits from a fin keel, wheel steering with a Skeg rudder, a self-draining cockpit and anchor well, with alloy toe rails, Stainless steel stanchions and pulpit. She was last out of the water in February to April 2024 when the hull was polished and anodes changed and re-antifouled.
The current owners have enjoyed and maintained the vessel for the last two years and have now bought a larger vessel. A previous November 2022 survey is available upon viewing.

Spars & Sails:
This Moody 346 has a Masthead Bermudan Sloop Rig, with a Deck stepped aluminium Selden mast and boom with stainless steel standing rigging that was replaced in 2013.
This vessel is equipped with a Profurl, furling headsail and a slab reef mainsail with lazy Jacks and stack pack that was replaced in 2023 and manual backstay adjuster. The running rigging was replaced in 2022.

Mechanical Systems:
This Moody 346 has a single 2010 45HP Kabota V2203 diesel engine, that was fitted in 2010, powering a shaft driven three bladed folding propeller with only 468 hours. The Kabota engine is supplied by a 150-litre capacity plastic fuel tank with Morse controls. This vessel was last serviced in 2023 with a new oil pressure gauge installed in February 2024 and the cutlass bearing was changed in 2020.
This yacht will achieve a cruising speed of 6 knots and a maximum speed of 7 knots.
Electrical Systems:
3 x 12-volt batteries (1 x engine, 110AH 2019 + 2 x Domestic batteries, 110 AH 2019) all charging from the alternator, Wind generator and 240V Victron Blue battery charger that was installed in 2024.
This Moody 346 also benefits from a 240- volt shore power connection with a ring main throughout the vessel along with a 240V inverter and immersion heater.
