Description
Introducing Stiarna, a Moody 376, an exceptional family cruising yacht that balances comfort, performance, and safety. As an evolution of the popular Moody 37 design, this yacht features a spacious and airy interior while providing excellent all-around performance.
Designed by Bill Dixon, the Moody 376 is built for both the seasoned sailor and families seeking adventure. Dixon stated at the time, “This yacht should be equally at home shorthanded on extended passages or pottering along the coast with the family.” The powerful hull form and thoughtfully designed keel and rudder ensure a comfortable motion, making every journey enjoyable.
Stiarna features a secure centre cockpit, designed for easy handling. The cockpit offers ample seating and coamings for safety, giving you confidence while underway. The thoughtful layout allows for all sail controls to be at hand with the owners having run all lines aft, making it a breeze to sail.
The interior is a testament to comfort and usability. With a large owner’s cabin aft, a well-equipped galley, and a spacious saloon, it’s perfect for entertaining family and friends. The saloon features an L-shaped settee, ensuring everyone has a comfortable place to relax. The galley, complete with twin sinks and a two-burner stove, allows for easy meal preparation, making it ideal for long weekends or extended trips.
As noted in Yachting Monthly, “The Moody 37 (nee 376) proved to be pleasantly stiff and satisfyingly fast... exceptionally well-mannered and well-balanced on all points.” This sentiment rings true for the Moody 376, as it combines functionality with style. The layout offers generous storage throughout, allowing you to bring everything you need for your adventures.
Stiarna requires some basic cosmetic attention, most notably to the headlining’s throughout and would benefit from some revarnishing of woodwork etc.
With its sleek design and thoughtful engineering, the Moody 376 is not just a yacht; it’s a home on the water, providing a perfect blend of space, pace, and safety. Whether you’re exploring the coast or embarking on a longer journey, this boat is ready to take you there with ease and comfort.
