Description
This 1970 Grundel flatboat is a characteristic and robust steel boat, ideal for boating fun on inland waterways and lakes. With a length of 6.5 meters and a width of 2.4 meters, the boat offers a compact but cozy space with two fixed berths. Interior headroom is 1.7 meters, making the cabin comfortable enough to stay in, although space is limited.
The boat has a teak finish on the deck, cockpit and cabin, giving it a warm and classic look. Despite the compact stateroom, the spacious cockpit provides a pleasant place for enjoyable cruising moments. The boat is equipped with a Vetus diesel engine of 12 hp, which can be started electrically. The engine dates from 2012 and has about 200 running hours. This makes the ship relatively economical in use.
With a draft of only 40 centimeters, the boat is particularly suitable for the shallow waters of Friesland and can go almost anywhere. The mainsail and jib are in good condition, and thanks to the reefing bars the sail is easy to reef in stronger winds. The boat sails smoothly and comfortably, especially in moderate winds.
This Grundel has been well maintained and came out of the water for maintenance as recently as July 2024. Although the spar and rudder still require some painting. The boat comes with a full tarpaulin, suitable for both standing and lowered mast, and is equipped with tarpaulins, fenders, lines, and an electric bilge pump with automatic float.
