The Zeepiertje is a sturdy lifeboat with a length of 9.5 meters, made of polyester. Originally serving as a lifeboat on a German passenger ship and suitable for 80 people, this sloop was later converted for use as a fishing boat. The sloop is currently in poor condition with many defects, including a defective engine (Solé, 45 hp, diesel) that is not working. Steering is by outside tiller and the boat has a single rudder. The interior has a manual toilet with direct discharge to the open water. Despite its current condition, the Zeepiertje offers a solid foundation due to its original build quality as a lifeboat.
