Description
The Bostrom 31 MKII is a sturdy 1977 sailboat designed by Bostrom & Gardinson. With a length of 9.43 meters, a width of 2.78 meters and a draft of 1.75 meters, this polyester sailboat offers both stability and comfort for both short and long trips. The round bilge hull and single rudder ensure a reliable course, while the 4,000 kg weight contributes to stability in rough waters.
The accommodation is practical with mattresses, a separate dining area, cushions, curtains, and a stove. There is a 130-liter water tank, but no hot water. For heating, there is an air heater. The engine, a 17-hp Solé Mini with 650 hours of operation, provides a maximum speed of 11 km/h and is in good condition, with a fuel tank capacity of 30 liters.
As for electronics, the boat is equipped with a battery charger, an alternator, and navigation instruments such as a compass, log-speedometer, GPS, and VHF radio. The sailing arsenal consists of 6 sails, including Genoa 1 and 2, with an aluminum mast.
On deck, practical accessories include a sprayhood, cockpit tent, boat cover, outdoor cushions, swim ladder, davits, and a cockpit table. Safety is provided by a life buoy and a manual bilge pump.
The boat has some minor flaws, but is otherwise well maintained. The last service, including antifouling treatment, took place in 2023. Included with the sale are pilotage, charts, navigational aids, and a custom mooring cover.
