All about Maxum 2400 model
The Maxum shipyard was founded in the United States in 1970 and built a line of runabouts. Maxum became part of the Brunswick Group in the 1980s and underwent significant growth. This led to the development of large Bowrider boats, as well as fast Cabin Cruisers, Sundecks and Sport Fishers.
The 1998 Maxum 2400 is a 7.7m-long, 2.59m-wide weekender, weighing 2200kg unladen, powered by a 260hp to 320hp inboard engine. These 8-cylinder petrol engines produce an attractive, even bewitching, sound for passionate sailors.
Maxum 2400 features a fully rounded shape to provide maximum interior habitability. The forepeak is fitted with a double cabin and full bathroom. It's worth noting that these inboard boats have unlimited hot water produced by a loop fitted in the engine cooling system. A fully-equipped kitchen tops off the layout in the Maxum 2400. Maxum 2400 is surrounded by large stainless steel rails and has a comfortable driving position - either seated or standing - from which you can enjoy a top speed of 37 knots.
Behind the cockpit you'll find two double bench seats that can be converted into sunbeds facing each other, alongside an optional folding table. The aft end of the Maxum 2400 is equipped with a swim platform which, while not the widest on the market, is much more comfortable for accessing the water than those fitted to boats with outboard engines. Maxum ceased operations in 2009.
