All about Velasco 37 model
Jeanneau Velasco represents the shipyard's vision for liveable inboard cruisers. Shipyards often opt for sterndrive transmissions, which can be expensive to maintain, in a bid to optimise interior volume.
To avoid this pitfall, Jeanneau chose to equip the 2016 Velasco 37 with two Volvo D4 shaft-line engines. Fitted with this 600hp diesel engine, the Velasco 37 can reach a maximum speed of 28 knots. To compensate for the manoeuvrability issues caused by this engine, Jeanneau recommended fitting an electric bow thruster and stern thruster to Velasco 37 models.
When it comes to autonomy, Velasco boats are liveable cruisers designed for short cruises rather than Trawlers.
The interior lower deck layout is positioned around a forward cabin located in the forepeak, a mid-cabin and a full bathroom. The latter has hot water when cruising thanks to the heat exchanger in the engine cooling system. On the main deck, the long port side galley sits opposite an L-shaped saloon.
On deck, the bow is designed as a large sunbathing area, while the flybridge has a second steering station, a saloon, and a large sunbathing area.
The flybridge arch, which forms part of the design of this boat, also houses the radar radome, the GPS receiver and the compass antenna.
