All about Moraga range
Spanish shipyard Faeton features several ranges in its catalogue. Some are geared towards watersports and cruising, while the Moraga range has been designed for short cruises and sport fishing alike. The Moraga range places emphasis on safety, stability and versatility, suitable for both short cruises and sport fishing.
There are a number of tell-tale signs that point to its abilities: first of all the name Moraga, which refers to a sardine-based dish from the Malaga region, and it certainly doesn't stop there! For starters, these boats are equipped with a cockpit (console or pilothouse depending on the model), narrow enough to create the widest and safest walkways possible. The cockpits are deep, spacious and flat to cater to fishing and a whole host of additional leisure activities. They often extend up to the transom depending on the model, which ensures risk-free proximity to the water within a clear area. The deep V-shaped hull and its excellent bearing capacity top off the safety features while also enabling boats in the Moraga range to cope with difficult seas. The current catalogue includes 10 models in this range, based on 6 hulls ranging from 7.90m to 11.80m. Most of them are available in various layouts, hard top, such as the F-1040 HT, or Flybridge such as the F-1180 FLY, which is also available in an Open version. This Moraga range has been around for years now, making it possible to find attractive second-hand opportunities.
Moraga: find your future boats
The range of boats centralizes models with similar characteristics, both in their design and in their use. A boat builder can have a range dedicated to racing-cruising yachts and another specializing in small outboard motor boats. The ranges of boats may need to evolve to better meet the expectations of boaters. Thus, certain ranges are disappearing to make way for new generations of boats.
Choosing your boat model from the range
Buying a new or used boat requires taking stock of your expectations as a future boat owner Here are the main questions to ask:
- What is my maximum budget for buying a boat?
- Do I have a berth available?
- What is my boater profile?
