All about Avanti range
A subsidiary of the Brunswick Marine Group, Bayliner currently builds a range of Centre Console, Bowrider and small Open boats ranging in length from 16 foot to 26 foot.
The Bayliner Avanti was founded in the early 2010s. Bayliner introduced the sundeck concept.
Here, the aft deck has been cleared of the outboard engines in order to accommodate a large sunbathing area; all this on boats of less than 8 metres in length. The boat as a whole is attractive in terms of looks. The aft length is free from obstruction and resembles the aft decks of old runabouts, the distant descendants of Bayliner Avanti inboard boats.
The Bayliner Avanti features a highly spacious cockpit with a fixed sunbathing area in the aft section, an exterior saloon and a second sunbathing area forward of the windscreen. A stunning far aft swim platform provides the perfect place to bask in the sun and access the water without difficulty.
Outboard engines on the Bayliner Avanti have been replaced by inboard V-drive engines. Mercury petrol engines have been fitted, delivering between 200 and 350 horsepower depending on the model. The Bayliner Avanti 8 has a 330 horsepower engine capable of reaching a top speed of 33 knots.
The engine is fitted in the central part of the boat, significantly limiting interior liveability. The cabin only contains a double bed in the forepeak, under which you can fit an optional toilet and small sink. This sleek layout is no longer featured in the Bayliner catalogue.
